Meet Kim Williams

Autism & Learning Disabilities Specialist

KiNDly Connect is a neurodiversity-affirming platform founded by Kim Williams- a parent and specialist clinician with over 15 years experience across Early Help, Children's Services, and therapeutic practice. Kim's professional background, combined with her lived experience as a parent to a child with autism, a learning disability, and complex sensory needs, shapes the heart of this work. We provide practical, strengths-based and trauma-informed support for families, schools, and professionals, guided by NICE best practice and a strong belief in kindness, compassion, and connection.

IAPT‑Trained in Specialist Clinical Practice: Learning Disabilities & Autism

Kim holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Specialist Clinical Practice – Learning Disabilities and Autism, awarded by Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust as part of the national IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) programme. This specialist training focused on evidence-based approaches to supporting neurodivergent children and young people, with an emphasis on trauma-informed care, emotional wellbeing, and adapting therapeutic interventions to meet individual communication, cognitive, and sensory needs.
